This is a term time evening class (6-9pm)



The School of Employability at South Thames College is seeking a Lecturer to teach and prepare adult learners for the Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems (EAL) ensuring that they are able to achieve success.



Developing course objectives using effective course and lesson plans designed to monitor learners’ progress, you’ll prepare course plans in accordance with any external or College set syllabuses and deliver the agreed learning outcomes by the end of the course.



As our Lecturer, we’d like you to hold a qualification or demonstrate a professional background in the field of solar installation, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have successful teaching experience of working with adult learners in both informal and formal settings. You’ll have experience of working in the industry with excellent subject knowledge of the installation of solar photovoltaic systems and the necessary knowledge and understanding of the assessment criteria and learning outcomes of the course you are delivering.



With excellent knowledge and understanding of the structure and content of the qualification, you’ll have experience of assessment for both accredited and non-accredited courses, and liaison with internal and external verifiers. Able to communicate effectively at all levels, you’ll have the ability to identify and implement improvements in existing systems and have excellent level of computer literacy.
