Here at Stonewater, we’re looking for someone to come and join our Rents and Service Charges team to take ownership of preparing and issuing fixed and variable service charge notifications and reconciliations. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of preparing and issuing fixed and variable service charge estimates and year-end reconciliations. You’ll ensure financial data is accurate and up to date across a range of contract types and tenures, while maintaining clear, supporting communication with customers. Your ability to handle complex queries with empathy and professionalism will be key to providing the high standard of customer service we aim for.



You’ll also be responsible for calculating service charges for new schemes, ensuring they are realistic, aligned with business needs, and include appropriate reserve fundprovisions, offering advice on their usage and ensuring proper tracking and allocation to support long-term investment in our schemes.



Collaboration will be essential in this role.You’ll work closely with colleagues across different teams to ensure compliance with both internal policies and external legislation. You’ll also be expected to contribute to service improvements that enhance the customer experience and strengthen our financial performance. While ensuring cost recovery and financial sustainability remain a priority, you will always keep affordability and the needs of our residents at the heart of your actions.



The ideal candidate will…




  • Have proven ability to handle customer queries and complaints with empathy, professionalism, and transparency.

  • Have experience in managing rents and service charge processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly to both residents and internal teams.

  • Have strong problem-solving skills, capable of managing complex issues and providing effective solutions.

  • Be able to identify and address discrepancies or inconsistencies in financial records and service charge calculations.

  • Be able to work effectively with internal teams, providing guidance and support when necessary.

  • Have in-depth knowledge of housing regulations and the legal frameworks surrounding rents and service charges

  • Be able to leverage technology for workplace tasks with ease, working across multiple platforms and systems.



Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
