Kingston College are seeking a Lecturer to support the students in the Foundation Learning area of the College to provide tutorial and pastoral care for a group or groups of learners with learning disabilities/difficulties and to monitor work experience activities.



You’ll deliver teaching and assessment activities within own area of specialism including lectures, setting/marking coursework, practical activities and field work and deliver Maths and English to SEND at the appropriate level. You’ll arrange, coordinate and supervise practical work, events and assessment projects as well as advise students on techniques.



As our Lecturer, we’d like you to hold a recognised teaching qualification (or willing to work towards), participated in recent and relevant continuous professional development, and have strong knowledge and current teaching experience of the development and delivery of English, Maths and Employability skills. With understanding of the value of strategies for inclusive learning and associated progression pathways in the further education sector for improving opportunities for people with SEND, you’ll have experience of vocational curriculum development within Further Education including RARPA, entry level qualifications and Functional skills.



You’ll have knowledge of a range of strategies to meet the individual learning needs of students with experience of motivating and guiding individuals and/or teams towards agreed objectives and a demonstrated ability to develop and deliver on a variety of vocational programmes. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective communication with students, staff, internal and external stakeholders at all levels - demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills, you’ll have good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills, with good attention to detail.



The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
