The Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) is a leading professional body representing more than 25,000 school and college leaders across the UK and we are looking for a Field Officer to join our London regional team.
ASCL is seeking to appoint a field officer to undertake casework supporting ASCL members. The post will cover the London region, supporting the regional officer.
The post of field officer requires up-to-date knowledge and experience of the issues facing the senior leadership teams of schools and colleges and the ability to deal with individuals at a senior level. Therefore, you should have held a senior leadership position within schools or colleges within the last two years. Business Leaders with extensive HR experience, or leaders at or above Deputy Headteacher level or equivalent, will be best suited to this post.
For this post the post-holder must live in the region that they serve. The post-holder will work from home, although much of the role involves travel on a very frequent basis within the region to meet with members, to attend meetings and to meet with employers. There will be regular contact with, and visits to, ASCL HQ in Leicester plus regular training sessions. IT and telephone equipment will be provided.
ASCL is an equal opportunities employer and offers a very generous package of benefits, including 33 days holiday plus bank holidays and a pension scheme to which the association contributes 9%. Reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses are also covered, including a working from home allowance. We encourage applications regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
