Job Advert

Do you possess strong leadership experience and have a genuine commitment to engaging minoritised, marginalised and disadvantaged groups and safeguarding individuals?

Yellow Door is an amazing charity that is quite literally changing lives for the better in the Southampton area, with a team of around 100 staff and volunteers, working together to prevent and respond to domestic and sexual abuse. We provide a diverse and innovative range of services to local people of all ages and genders. Last year we engaged with over 4,500 clients to provide crucial support, information, and in some cases, a lifeline. Right now, our services have never been more in demand, so our volunteers and supporters are absolutely critical to us.

Our DIA Manager is responsible for the Diversity & Inclusion Advocacy Service, responsible for effective operation. Your responsibility will include closely collaborating with and supporting Independent Sexual Violence Managers, as well as overseeing specialised Independent Sexual Violence Advisors. You will guide the team in managing their caseloads and ensure alignment with our community outreach plan to meet funding requirements. Building strong community links and fostering partnerships with multi-agency stakeholders in both statutory and voluntary sectors will be central to your role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with inspirational leadership skills and a background working with vulnerable children, adults and families.

  • Knowledge of the civil and/or criminal justice system pertaining to domestic and sexual abuse.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and maintain proactive alliances with colleagues and partners.
